Banamichi

The pueblo of Banamichi was founded in the year 1639 in the valley of the Sonora River. It is a town of 2,000 people filled with colonial architecture, a beautiful town square and a town park with a statue of Opata warriors supporting a large petroglyph that was discovered in a field nearby.

Banamichi is Cowboy Country. It's is a real ranching community where you will see cowboys (vaqueros) on horseback riding the streets of town.
