Banámichi
The pueblo of Banámichi was founded in the
year 1639 in the valley of the Sonora River. It is a town of
2,000 people filled with colonial architecture, a beautiful
town square and a town park with a statue of Opata warriors
supporting a large petroglyph that was discovered in a field
nearby.
Banámichi is a farming and ranching community, home
to friendly people, great weather, birding, archeological
sites and nearby hot springs. Hiking, horseback riding, biking,
stargazing, cart rides and more. A perfect getaway just 135
miles south of Bisbee, Arizona.
